- Abstract
Electric submersible pump (ESP) is the main force of heavy oil recovery in Northwest Oilfield. With the continuous development of heavy oil, the viscosity of crude oil increases, water cut increases and energy decreases. The operation condition of ESP is getting worse and worse. The electric pump system entering the well frequently stops in the new working condition, which seriously affects the recovery benefit. Based on the operation problem of electric pump, through the analysis of the failure factors of heavy oil electric pump, this paper puts forward the optimization and improvement scheme of electric pump unit: changing the copper sleeve of protector into special cemented carbide centralizer sleeve, optimizing the structure of protector to lead the breathing hole to the upper thin oil environment, matching the hanging inner in small cased well to improve the mixing effect. The load and current of electric pump unit are more stable after comprehensive implementation. The service life is significantly improved, and the adaptably to medium high and water cut heavy oil wells is greatly improved, so as to achieve the purpose of reducing the lay down rate of electric pump.
