- Abstract
Polymer interlayer is a vital part of laminated glass, and its performance is crucial to the safety of laminated glass. The temperature sensitivities of thermoplastic interlayer materials and thermosetting interlayer materials vary greatly. At low strain rate, uniaxial quasi-static tensile test and tear test under different temperatures were carried on typical thermoplastic interlayer ma原 terials [polyvinyl butyral (PVB), ionomer SentryGlas® Plus (SG)] and thermosetting type interlayer materials [crosslinked EVA lami nated glass interlayer(PVE), crosslinked composite of EVA/PC laminated glass interlayer(SGE) ]. The experimental results showed that the tensile and tear resistance of the four kinds of interlayer decreases with the increase of temperature. Among them, SGEhas the best resistance against high temperature and can maintain high tensile and tear strength at 120 °C PVB has the worst resistance against high temperature, and largely loses tensile and tear strength when the test temperature exceeds 40 °C.
