- Abstract
The article presents a study which aims to assess the association between rainfall in the southeast and southwest regions of Australia on a range of time-scales. It says that the rainfall variability between the two regions appears to be significantly related, with decreasing variability as the total rainfalls decline on a range of time-scales. It states that the link between the local rain fall and mean sea-level pressures (MSLP) drives the association between the rainfalls of the regions.
