- Abstract
The article examines the effect of liver radiofrequency ablation (RFA) on the biological gut barrier in bile production rate and bowel inflammatory state on intestinal microflora balance. It states that post-RFA complications may pose a life-threat to treated patients with hepatitis, liver failure and pleural effusion. It elaborates various components that comprises the intestinal mucosa including immune, biological and mechanical components.
