- Abstract
The article discusses how the development of the Borden Airotor high-speed air-turbine handpiece changed the practice of dentistry from 1960s. The article presents a question-and-answer session which explores the personal experiences of five dental students regarding the air-turbine handpiece. The discussion highlighted the positive and the negative points about the high-speed turbine handpiece including its high rotational speed, and hearing loss caused to the dentists respectively.
