- Abstract
The article focuses on a study that aimed to determine the biological and environmental factors that affect structure and spatial patterns of larval fish assemblages in the southern Gulf of Mexico. The use of Bray-Curtis dissimilarity index to define larval assemblages is mentioned. It notes that the habitat of the adults and the spawning areas determined the composition and spatial distribution of fish larvae species. Also discussed is the effect of hydrodynamics on the assemblages.
