- Abstract
The article discusses the highlights of a consensus development conference on endoscopic groin hernia surgery, initiated by the European Association of Endoscopic Surgery (EAES) during its annual congress in Brussels, Belgium in 2012. The conference gathered 81 delegates from 82 countries. Over three-quarters of surgeons involved in the 2012 EAES consensus development conference agreed on 36 out of 48 statements regarding endoscopic repair of groin hernias.
