- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 46-year-old non-atopic woman presented with an itchy reaction involving her left hand and a history of retinal detachment surgery. Topics discussed include attribution of lesions to particular rinse-off contact lens cleaning solution coming into contact with the affected area twice daily, the product contained poly(hexamethylene) biguanide hydrochloride (PHMB) and ability of PHMB to induce allergic contact dermatitis found in contact lens care solutions.
