Manifestações bucais em crianças diagnosticadas com síndrome de moebius: relato de dois casos clínicos.

- Abstract
Introdução: A Síndrome de Moebius (SM) é uma desordem congênita rara de origem desconhecida caracterizada pela paralisia não progressiva uni e ou bilateral dos nervos facial e abducente. A SM pode estar associada à Síndrome de Poland (SP) e Transtorno do Espectro Autista. Objetivos: Descrever as manifestações bucais e gerais e o atendimento odontológico a dois pacientes diagnosticados com SM. Material e método ou Conduta Clínica: Caso 1: paciente do sexo feminino, 2 anos de idade, diagnosticada com SM com envolvimento bilateral, compareceu à Bebê Clínica da Universidade Estadual de Londrina para tratamento odontológico preventivo. Ao exame clínico e radiográfico, detectou-se espessamento do ligamento periodontal decorrente de traumatismo dentoalveolar (TD) prévio, mordida aberta anterior, microstomia, pouca elasticidade bucal, mucosa labial seca, palato estreito e profundo, língua hipotônica, micrognatismo, selamento labial inadequado e presença de cárie dentária nos molares. Caso 2: paciente do sexo feminino, 9 anos de idade, diagnosticada com SM associada com SP com envolvimento unilateral, compareceu ao mesmo serviço odontológico. Ao exame clínico e radiográfico, foi constatado TD aos 4 anos e 3 meses que resultou em concussão do dente 51 e subluxação do 61 e 62. Clinicamente, foram observadas as mesmas características bucais citadas no caso acima, além de mordida cruzada unilateral direita e selamento labial e tonicidade lingual adequados. Resultados: Em ambos os casos foram realizadas medidas de prevenção da cárie dentária. No caso clínico 1, foi realizado restauração dentária e no caso 2, em processo de documentação ortodôntica. Conclusão: Conclui-se que o odontopediatra é fundamental no diagnóstico de características bucais e faciais que podem implicar em repercussões potenciais do desenvolvimento do sistema estomatognático.
