- Abstract
The article discusses research which proposes systemic identification of family caregivers in health systems. The study describes a patient electronic health record (EHR)-driven approach to identify veterans with caregivers for a research survey. It compares the iHI-FIVES evidence-based skills training program and Chase, a national phone survey that recruited caregivers enrolled in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Caregiver Support Program with respect to their recruitment approach.
