- Abstract
The article discusses a 2021 retrospective study on the intramuscular penicillin G procaine/benzathine (PenG P/B) order panel implementation on neurosyphillis. It states that the use of clinical decision support (CDS) substantially decreased the medication error and near-miss rate for PenG P/B from 37% to 0%. Also noted is a similar decrease in vancomycin-related medication errors after use of the CDS tool.
