- Abstract
In order to explore the toxic effect and safe concentration of potassium permanganate, povidone iodine, chlorine dioxide and polyhexamethylene guanidine on Marphysa sanguinea, the acute toxicity test of these four disin¬fectants on M. sanguinea was carried out by using the semi-hydrostatic test at room temperature. The results showed that the tolerance capability of M. sanguinea to the four kinds of disinfectants was 10% povidone iodine> potassium permanganate>10% chlorine dioxide>25% polyhexamethylene guanidine. The 24 h, 48 h and 96 h median lethal concentrations of 10% povidone iodine were 418. 41, 242. 67 and 89. 49 mg • L-1, respectively, and the safe concentration was 8. 95 mg • L-1. The 24 h, 48 h and 96 h median lethal concentrations of potassium permanganate were 14. 10, 9. 59 and 7. 38 mg •L-1, respectively, and the safe concentration was 0. 74 mg • L-1. The 24 h, 48 h and 96 h median lethal concentrations of 10% chlorine dioxide were 89. 26, 47. 18 and 4. 61 mg • L-1, respectively, and the safe concentration was 0. 46 mg * L-1. The 24 h, 48 h and 96 h median lethal concentrations of 25% polyhexamethyl- ene guanidine were 11. 44, 3. 08 and 1. 13 mg • L-1, respectively, and the safe concentration was 0. 11 mg • L-1. The use of povidone iodine and chlorine dioxide was suitable in the breeding and culture production of M. sanguinea, while polyhexamethylene guanidine and potassium permanganate should be used with caution.
