- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 34-year-old man with alopecia areata (AA). The patient was changed to phototherapy with narrowband ultraviolet B (UVB) after a failed attempt with oral and topical steroids for treating the quick progression of the disease. The patient revealed a good clinical response to narrowband UVB having total repigmentation on the vertex area and repigmentation of about 90% on the other involved areas.
