- Abstract
Idiopathic Atrophoderma of Pasini and Pierini (IAPP) is a rare type of dermal atrophy with unknown etiology. The lesions may be single or multiple, oval or round in shape, characterized by frequently on the trunk symmetrically, sharped edged depressed plaques. Most commonly occuring on the back, they later appear on the chest and abdomen. The lesions may range in size from 1 to 20 centimetres in diameter and enlarge very slowly in years. Most of patients with IAPP are women and are seen usually second-third decades. IAPP and morphea is rarely seen together in patients. In this article, we report a 27-year-old female with asymptomatic depressed brown patch on her back was diagnosed as IAPP and morphea according to the clinical and histopathological findings.
