- Authors
Reeves, Scott; Nelson, Sioban; Zwarenstein, Merrick
- Abstract
The article presents the author's views on the interprofessional collaboration of doctors and nurses in the medical care system of Canada. According to the author, collaboration between the professions works to break down boundaries, facilitate communication and create the conditions for better medical care. He predicts that with time the collaboration may flow from successes at the local level, negotiated individually in a range of different wards, practices and teams.
