- Abstract
The article presents a study on patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the oropharynx (SCCOP) who underwent salvage surgery after initial radiotherapy. It states that demographic, clinical, recurrence and survival data of 168 patients were analyzed. It reveals that 26 of 39 patients have developed a second recurrence after salvage surgery which implies that it does not fully guarantee a long-term survival among patients with recurrent SCCOP.
