- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the use of fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) test in detecting bladder cancer in patients with benign urine cytology. According to the authors, bladder cancer patients are closely followed with periodic cystoscopies and urine cytology analyses due to risk of tumor recurrence. The results revealed that all patients who had positive cystoscopy were detected by the combined cytology and FISH analysis approach using the Duet automatic scanning system.
