- Abstract
The article discusses the result of the study of proteinuria of a 28-year-old man with bronchiectasis. After a renal transplant, his renal function was normal, but 2 years later, his transplanted kidney hinted an interstitial nephritis from a viral infection and there was no proteinuria. He then suffered peritonitis which made it impossible to withdraw the corticosteroids given to him. He died and his necropsy revealed amyloidosis and widespread systemic deposition of secondary amyloid protein.
