- Abstract
In this article a sociologist looks at the responsibility of teacher education in relation to the imbalance between social and technological advance. He sees the preparation of the teacher as the key to progress both in the material and in the nonmaterial essentials of Western civilization. Mr. Lenn is Assistant Professor of Sociology, Teachers College of Connecticut. He was visiting Assistant Professor of Educational Sociology, New York University, Summer of 1950.
