In this scientific article was proposed the realization of a debate about the intervention of the Brazilian State in education, especially in the legal education. To achieve the objective that is proposed, it was adopted the bibliographic research as a methodology of work. Initially it was presented the historic of State's interventionism on Brazilian education, followed by the same exposition about the legal education. At the end, it was analyzed the actual legislation about the intervention on law education. The thematic is of fundamental importance, because the government intervention on legal education, through regulation and quality control exerts a direct influence on the profile of law operator that will be form by the universities. Beyond the analysis of the history of Brazilian interventionism in education, it was possible to verify that the State always adopted an interventionist position, seeking, at least on the genesis of the law education, to attend exclusively your own organizational demands. However, through the years, the State's intervention started to be motivated also by the social demands. It was possible to conclude, through the analysis of the legislation about the theme, that nowadays the normative instruments that allow the State's intervention on the legal education aims to attend the social demands, concerned with the humanistic formation of the law operator.
