- Title
EDITOR'S COMMENTS: WHY REVIEW? BECAUSE REVIEWING IS A PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY.
- Authors
Treviño, Linda K.
- Abstract
In this article the editor of the magazine discusses her views on the importance of the peer review process in academic publishing of business literature. She examines reasons why academics might reject reviewing the work of peers and colleagues but suggests that individuals have an ethical obligation to contribute to the review process. She suggests that in order to be published in an academic journal an author should be obligated to participate in the examination of the work of others. She asks that readers respond to her suggestions.
