- Abstract
The article presents two case reports on the role of positron emission tomography (PET) scanning in HIV-positive patients with Kaposi's sarcoma and lymphadenopathy. A 32-year-old French homosexual man presented in March 1996 with a 6-month history of tiredness. PET images depicted focal low level uptake in both axillae, groin and para-aortic regions. A 30-year-old Brazilian homosexual man was tested HIV-1 antibody positive in April 1995 and was also treated with PET.
