The article offers information on hunting of duck clubs for preservation of public marshlands on the Great Salt Lake in Utah. Topics discussed include improving transportation networks which facilitated the rise of trade including creating a national market for Great Salt Lake waterfowl; hunters which led to the formation of duck clubs on the north and south ends of the lake; and the federal government taking action for conserving the wild game birds.
