- Abstract
The article presents a study which collated and assessed repeatability and reproducibility data for microbiological methods in food analysis from papers published in 1996 to 2003 with a view to identifying trends in precision with microbial load. Generalized additive modeling for location, scale, and shape was performed using the Generalized Additive Modeling for Location, Shape, and Scale. Results showed that repeatability and reproducibility were found to depend on matrix class and organism.
