- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 2-year-old child who was diagnosed with lentil and coconut allergy which demonstrates immunoglobulin E (IgE) mechanism. It states that based on immunological studies, 7S and 11S globulin allergens were involved in this cross-reactivity. Furthermore, it mentions that this case supports the claim that when evaluating patients with idiopathic anaphylaxis, coconut allergy should be considered as a new cause of hidden food allergy.
