- Abstract
We read with great interest the letter of Barni et al1 The authors have appreciably and meticulously examined various possible hypotheses in order to explain the difference in the percentage of severe reactions between their study2 and our study.3 Even the explanation that we had hypothesized,3 albeit with some reservations, regarding the timing of the administration of ondansetron, is not considered convincing and plausible by Barni et al1 on the basis of their usual routine, although they admit that "... it is true that our study does not specify the exact time at which the ondansetron was administered - and it is, therefore, not possible to compare this between the two populations".
