- Abstract
The authors offer insights on a study published within the issue which investigated the role of remnant cholesterol (RC) in the pathogenesis of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). Topics discussed include the way RC originated from lipolytic products of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins (TRL), the multivariate models of RC, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and apolipoprotein B (apoB) analyzed in the study, and the contribution of LDL to atherogenesis.
