- Abstract
The present research aim is the formulation and invitro evaluation of the floating tablets of Paliperidone with natural polymers. The Paliperidone tablets were prepared by physical direct compression method using guar gum and xanthan gum as natural polymers and Sodium bicarbonates. All the developed formulations were evaluated for physicochemical parameters, buoyancy, drug content, in vitro dissolution, Kinetic models and drug stability studies. The results were obtained within the limits for all formulations. Among all the formulations PF4 showed the better buoyancy and drug release profiles. The release of the drug follows Higuchi's kinetics and it was more stable under various storage conditions.
