- Abstract
This article, titled "EP16.26: Outcome of expectantly managed CSP continued to viability: data from the international Caesarean scar pregnancy registry," examines the outcomes of women with a viable Caesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) who continued their pregnancy to at least 23 weeks. The study compares the outcomes between women who had third-trimester ultrasound signs of placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) and those who did not. The results show that women with a viable CSP have a high risk of requiring a peripartum hysterectomy, even if they do not have signs of PAS. The study suggests that women continuing their CSP should deliver in a tertiary obstetric center with a dedicated PAS service.
