- Abstract
This article presents the findings of a randomized controlled trial comparing the safety and efficacy of microwave ablation (MWA) and radiofrequency ablation (RFA) in selective reduction of complex monochorionic twin pregnancies. The study, conducted in China, involved 144 women who were randomly allocated to either MWA or RFA. The overall survival rates, neonatal outcomes, and developmental state of the surviving children were found to be similar between the two groups. These results suggest that MWA may be a viable option for intrauterine surgeries in complex monochorionic pregnancies.
