- Abstract
The article offers recommendations on addressing the trade-off between experimental control and real-world applicability faced by human sensorimotor science that studies the use of sensory data by the nervous system to interact with the environment. They include applying complementary experimental methods, using emerging technologies for task presentation and evaluation and conducting comparative studies to evaluate differences in sensorimotor behaviour in in-laboratory and real-world settings.
