- Abstract
The article presents the author's views on the role of social sciences in the curriculum of secondary schools in the U.S. The author says that secondary-school curriculum does not provide good training in civics. He recommends that these schools should lead the youth to an understanding of their place in nature as well as about their birthright. Students should be made aware of social changes occurring in the world. Social issues should be included in present educational curriculum of secondary schools.
