- Abstract
This letter, published in the journal Calcified Tissue International, discusses the treatment of chronic nonbacterial osteomyelitis (CNO) in the mandible. The authors agree with the use of zoledronic acid for patients with mandibular unifocal lesions of CNO but suggest that a higher dose may be more effective. They also propose the use of tumor necrosis factor inhibitors (TNFi) in combination with bisphosphonate therapy. The authors emphasize the importance of imaging evaluations, such as Tc-99 m MDP, PET/CT, MRI, and CBCT, for assessing disease activity and treatment efficacy. The study was funded by various foundations and the authors declare no conflicts of interest.
