- Abstract
The article discusses the study which explores the influence of formulation of soil characteristics on alachlor efficacy and persistence in soil of commercial formulation and ethylcellulose microencapsulated formulations. The study found high alachlor efficacy and persistence in the soil with low microbial activity and clay organic matter. It suggests the use of microencapsulated formulations for advanced maintenance of the desired concentration of the herbicide in the soil for weed control.
