- Abstract
The work in the greenhouse (fitotron) was performed in order to verify the shikimic acid accumulation in genetically modified soybeans in different physiological stages and plant parts. The test was performed at the Experimental Center of Central Biological Institute in Campinas, SP, in a completely randomized design (CRD) with three replications. Young leaves of glyphosate-tolerant genetically modified soybean were collected at physiological stages V1 and V2 and stratified into apex and base (A and B) and apex, median and base (A, B and C), respectively and to determine the concentration of glyphosate shikimic acid (µg/g) HPLC was used. After analyzing the research data, it was concluded that there was an accumulation of shikimic acid in the genetically modified soybean plants and the accumulation was greater in the young parts of the plant, mainly in the apical meristem.
