- Abstract
The article presents the results of an investigation, carried out in mice on how long lived plasma cells in bone marrow allow space for newly generated plasma cells. An analysis of immunization of mice with the hapten nitrophenol coupled to chicken γ-globulin for 9 weeks and with a mixer of non-specific antigens and the frequency of nitrophenol-specific plasma cells is presented. The therapeutic use of the investigation in treating myelomas of plasma cells is mentioned.
