- Abstract
The QSLiN Symposium on Celebrating Intellectual Freedom took place on March 27, 2024, with over 100 school library workers from Quebec's English school system attending virtually. The symposium, organized by the Quebec School Librarians Network (QSLIN), aimed to provide professional development, knowledge sharing, and networking opportunities for library workers. The event featured keynote speakers Barbada and S. Bear Bergman, who shared their experiences and insights on creating inclusive and safe spaces in libraries. The symposium also included sessions on topics such as freedom of expression, anti-racist pedagogy, and artificial intelligence. Despite some repetition of keynote speakers from a previous conference, the event was well-received, and attendees are looking forward to future symposiums.
