- Abstract
One of the most critical factors that create nations is undoubtedly values. Opinion leaders of the society and some institutions have significant duties in keeping the values alive as in the establishment and rise process of states. In this context, the first thing that comes to mind is the Ahilik organization founded by tradesmen and craftsmen when it comes to Turkish history. This organization, which takes an efficient part in rooting and establishing values such as generosity, honesty, humility, and fidelity, shaped the life of society as raised virtuous individuals. 2021 has been declared as the "Year of Ahi Evran" thanks to the individual development of the organization, provision of national unity, and its contributions to the establishment of a robust state system. Therefore, there have been many scientific, cultural, and artistic studies related to the Ahi Organization and its founders in 2021. İt's seen that children's literature is also included among the studies. One of them is the book se ries "Ahi Baba ile Sencer" prepared for child readers. It was the object of curiosity which values are included in series, which can be the subject of different studies, how these values are transferred. In this study, a qualitative research method was used, and a document analysis technique was applied. In the book series under the main title of Ahi Baba ile Sencer, ten books named -Yolculuk, Pabuç Dama, Misafir Kervanı, Tebdil-i Kıyafet Eden Kadı, Çelüm - Çemçecük, Talimgâh, Ramazan, Ney, Yangın and Şed Kuşanma were examined. As a result of the examination, it was seen that many social values were included. It is seen that the values of benevolence/solidarity, love of animals and nature, justice/fairness, honesty, appreciation, and hospitality are at the forefront. It has been observed that the methods of giving advice and identification are included in the transfer of these values.
