A National Tragedy Requires Focus, Not Finger Pointing.

- Abstract
This article focuses on the prevalence of school shooting rampages across the U.S. On March 21, 2005, a high school student from Red Lake Minnesota, Jeff Weise, killed five students and a teacher at his high school. In the aftermath of this school shooting, people are asking themselves who bears the blame for Jeff's actions. Is it the Internet, parents, teachers, classmates or the community? But pointing the finger is the easy way out. The harder, more productive course is to look inward and accept responsibility. In assessing this tragedy, each one of us needs to ask how we, as a society, can do more to reach not only our most troubled youth, but all young people in the country.
