- Abstract
Our observations support the notion that, in pregnancies with a very short cervix complicated by severe hydrothorax, PAS is associated with survival rates that are sufficiently favorable to justify the intervention. Women with a short cervix (< 25 mm) had a significantly higher risk of delivery within 1 week after PAS placement, but the neonatal survival rates were similar between the group with and that without a short cervix.
