- Title
From Ryle's tube to PEG and beyond; a personal journey.
- Authors
Jones, B. J. M.
- Abstract
The author reflects on the progress of clinical nutrition in Great Britain. He discusses his journey in the medical field which follows the development of clinical nutrition from fine bore nasogastric tube to PEG and parenteral nutrition. He emphasizes that despite these developments, the provision of high quality nutritional support in British hospitals and the community is still far too patchy. He says that much is still to be done in the area of clinical nutrition in the country.
