- Abstract
The article presents information on a case study of a 76-year-old man who had a 2-year history and evidence of extensive plasmacytoma throughout his lymph nodes, liver and spleen but no certain bone involvement. This was associated with the production of a half-molecule of &b.gamma;GK-globulin, molecular weight 75,000 which in the urine gave unusual results to testing. Electrophoresis of serum and urine concentrated ten-fold was done on cellulose acetate. The serum showed a paraprotein in the &b.gammma; region, with reduction of the normal &b.gammma;-globulin.
