- Abstract
Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic, inflammatory disease with treatment often including systemic antibiotics. Studies have conflicting results regarding whether patients with HS more often develop serious infections including I Clostridium difficile i colitis when compared to those without.[[1]] This study aimed to examine the risk for I Clostridium difficile i colitis in patients with HS at a large metropolitan medical center over a 10-year period. A total of 36 patients with HS developed I Clostridium difficile i colitis including 21 Black and 11 White patients.
