- Title
THE UNLOVABLE PRESS.
- Authors
Petley, Julian
- Abstract
The article discusses the significance of tabloid newspapers in democracy, particularly in Great Britain. American academic sociologist Michael Schudson claims that unlovable press, along with journalists who are not afraid of intruding to someone's personal life, is indeed an essential aspect in the democratic state. As noted, libel actions against the county's press has accordingly risen to a greater degree causing most of the media to become greatly loved by the public.
