- Abstract
The article presents an overview of a study which examined the necessity of extracapsular lymph node involvement as an additional information in histological examination of gastric carcinoma. Patients involved in the study underwent esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGDS) with biopsy and computer tomography (CT) scan of the chest and abdomen. The average number of metastatic lymph nodes with extracapsular involvement and those with extracapsular involvement were measured.
