- Abstract
An editorial is presented in which the authors argue that abortion laws and policies that they believe are punitive and restrictive attach a harmful stigma to abortion providers and patients alike. The article examines the impact of such stigma upon physical and mental health, and discusses a case of what is termed abortion-related stigma in Alabama.
