The Religion of Benzodiazepines.
- Authors
Geppert, Cynthia M. A.
- Abstract
The author offers a commentary on benzodiazapines. She says that there is a difference in opinions when it comes to the use of benzodiazapines. Some believe the class of drugs are only good for the treatment of acute alcohol withdrawal and psychiatric emergencies. Others are strong advocates of the use of these drugs. The spectrum of attitudes towards the use of the drugs are discussed. Doctors should find a balanced position that is in accordance with the 1990 American Psychiatric Association report.
