- Abstract
The article offers information on intracerebral hemorrhages (ICH) associated with intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH). It relates that prognosis factors of ICH include elder age group, low score in Glasgow scale of coma, and large bleeding volume that cause midline shift. It adds that patients with ICH associated with IVH have high mortality rate particularly if intreventricular bleeding exceeds 30 milliliter (ml). A case of 93-year-woman with arterial hypertension is presented. Moreover, it cites the study of Jaffe and colleagues on the prognostic factors of ICH wherein hemorrhage volume below 30 ml is found to be associated with lower mortality and better functional recovery.
