- Abstract
The authors reflect on the various factors that result in persistent diminished exercise capacity following a critical illness. Also cited are a study by Cerqueira Borges and colleagues published in "Intensive Care Medicine" on the daily life physical activity levels, muscle strength, and exercise capacity of survivors of severe sepsis and septic shock, as well as a study made by L. Denehy and colleagues on the issue.
