- Abstract
The article discusses the work and life of British artist Diana Pullinger with primary focus being given to her artistic efforts and experiences in the Bahamas, especially her visits to the island district of Inagua, Bahamas. The author describes Pullinger's sketch books. Emphasis is given to the contents of Pullinger's work "History of The Bahamas in Pictures," which pictorially documented the island nation's long history from the arrival of Christopher Columbus, through colonization and slavery, up to emancipation and economic modernization. The author closes by describing a 2004 auction of Pullinger's paintings.
